Horseback Riding

Camp Mont Shenandoah is a traditional camp with an excellent riding program. In 2002, Camp Mont Shenandoah completed a new equestrian facility, including a barn with box stalls and tack room, riding ring and paddocks. Campers who ride learn all aspects of English equitation, from flat work to jumping. Beginners learn the foundations of horsemanship and proper riding while more advanced riders perfect their skills. Campers have the opportunity to help care for the horses as well as learn about horse care and barn maintenance. Please note that there is an additional fee for three and six weekers to ride. Riding is included in the tuition of Roots & Shoots campers.
