Registration for new campers opens on October 15, 2023. Recommended session length ranges from one to six weeks.

Camp Mont Shenandoah offers a six-week session, two three-week sessions, and a one-week long session, called Roots & Shoots. The three and six-week sessions are for girls ages 7-16. Roots & Shoots is for girls ages 7-13.

2024 Session Dates

The full camp season is six weeks and it begins in June. We accept a limited number of three-week campers for two separate sessions within the six weeks.

  • Six-Week Session: Saturday, June 22  – Saturday, August 3
  • First Three-Week Session: Saturday, June 22  – Saturday, July 13
  • Second Three-Week Session: Sunday, July 14 – Saturday, August 3
  • Roots & Shoots: Sunday, August 4 – Saturday, August 10

2024 Tuition

  • Tuition for our full six-week session is $10,200
  • Tuition for a half-session (three-week campers) is $5,850
  • Tuition for the one-week introductory session (Roots & Shoots) is $2,050

Tuition covers most extras, including trips, laundry, and all activity costs. Tuition does not cover riding fees, transportation to and from camp, medical expenses, camp uniform, and charges at the camp store. A 5% discount is applied to the tuition of any sister of a registered camper.

Registration for the 2024 Camp Season

Registration for the 2024 camp season for new/prospective families begins on October 15, 2023. Current campers are given priority enrollment until this date.  With our high rate of return campers, we can only offer a limited number of spots to new campers. If your daughter is interested in attending, we urge you to please complete your registration as soon as possible.

To register, a completed application and a deposit of $1,000 for three- and six-week sessions and/or a deposit of $400 for the one-week (Roots & Shoots) session is required. The deposit is fully refundable until February 1, 2024. The tuition balance is due by March 15, 2024, or within one month of registration after March 1, 2024. Payments may be made by check or online. Payments made online are subject to the following fees:

Credit Cards
  • There will be a 3% convenience fee on any payment larger than $165
  • There will be a $4.95 flat fee on any payment $165 and under
E-check
  • There will be a $2.95 convenience fee

2024 Horseback Riding Fees

Six-Week Campers
  • 15 hours (every other day for one period): $850
  • 30 hours (every day for one period): $1,600
Three-Week Campers
  • 8 hours (every other day for one period): $425
  • 15 hours (every day for one period): $800
One-Week Campers (Roots & Shoots)
  • Twice/week: $110
  • Four times/week: $220

Note: Riders are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The riding tuition is due with the camp tuition on March 15, 2024 or within one month of registration after March 1, 2024.
