Driving Directions
From Washington, D.C.:
- Follow I-66 West to I-81 South.
- Take first exit for Staunton – Rt. 275. Merge onto Rt. 275 heading west.
- After 1 mile, Rt. 275 intersects with Rt. 11 (1st traffic light). Go straight. It becomes Rt. 262 (old Rt. 275)
- Take Parkersburg Pike Exit (also Rt. 254). Go right at end of exit ramp.
- At Buffalo Gap, approximately 8 miles from Staunton, continue straight. Rt. 254 ends and turns into Rt. 42 South, which merges from the right.
- Continue on Rt. 42 South to Millboro Springs passing through the towns of Craigsville and Goshen.
- Millboro Springs is 8 miles past Goshen. Take a left at the Citgo station in Millboro Springs following Rt. 42 South towards Clifton Forge.
- Camp Mont Shenandoah is exactly 1 1⁄2 miles on your right (large stone gate posts & sign).
From Richmond:
- Follow I-64 West to I-81 South.
- Take the first Exit, which is Rt. 262.
- Take the Parkersburg Pike Exit (also Rt. 254). Go left at end of exit ramp.
- At Buffalo Gap, approximately 8 miles from Staunton, continue straight. Rt. 254 ends and turns into Rt. 42 South, which merges from the right.
- Continue on Rt. 42 South to Millboro Springs passing through the towns of Craigsville and Goshen.
- Millboro Springs is 8 miles past Goshen. Take a left at the Citgo station in Millboro Springs following Rt. 42 South towards Clifton Forge.
- Camp Mont Shenandoah is exactly 1 1⁄2 miles on your right (large stone gate posts & sign).
From Charleston, West Virginia:
- Follow I-64 east to Clifton Forge, Virginia.
- Take Exit 29 (next exit after the last Clifton Forge exit). At the bottom of the exit ramp turn left towards Millboro Springs, which places you on Rt. 42 North.
- After approximately 20 minutes (15 miles), you will pass Nimrod Hall on your left.
- Continue for another 2 miles to CMS, which will be on your left (large stone gate posts & sign). If you come to the intersection of Rt. 42 and Rt. 39, you have passed the camp (turn around and CMS will be 1.5 miles on your right).
From Roanoke, Virginia:
- From I-81, get on Rt. 220 North to Clifton Forge.
- In Clifton Forge, get on I-64 East (follow signs – it is well marked).
- Take the Rt. 42 exit (Next exit after the last Clifton Forge exit). At the bottom of the exit ramp turn left towards Millboro Springs, which places you on Rt. 42 North.
- After approximately 20 minutes (15 miles), you will pass Nimrod Hall on your left.
- Continue for another 2 miles to CMS, which will be on your left (large stone gate posts & sign). If you come to the intersection of Rt. 42 and Rt. 39, you have passed the camp (turn around and CMS will be 1.5 miles on your right).
Flying
We are able to pick up and return campers who fly into Roanoke Regional airport in Roanoke, Virginia for a $100 fee (each way). Additional luggage can be shipped to camp via UPS. Please note that the airport is over an hour away and we ask that, for return flights, departure times be no earlier than 9:00 a.m. Please send us your daughter’s flight information once it is confirmed.
