Hi everyone! And welcome to Week 4 of CMS!
Last week was Parents’ Weekend. We had to say goodbye to some of our campers (very sad!!!), but we also had the joy of welcoming new ones who have already filled our hearts with love and excitement!
On Monday evening, we held Initiation for our first-time campers. It was a fun night that everyone really enjoyed. Afterwards, we gathered for our Friendship Circle and returned to our cabins. We spent quality time hanging out, sharing memories from the first three weeks, talking about our goals for the rest of camp, and getting to know our new cabinmates through stories and questions. It was such a special time!!
Tuesday evening was Team Night, and just like in Week 1, it was absolutely magical! Greens and Buffs came together in West Lodge, shouting their team names with pride and cheering for their sister teams with full hearts. It was emotional, full of joy, connection, and many, many, many happy tears. A truly unforgettable moment.
Wednesday night was Downs Vespers. The weather wasn’t ideal, and CMS prioritized safety and we held Vespers in West Lodge instead of gathering on Vespers Hill. It was still just as much fun. The fire was lit, and while there were thunderstorms outside, we stayed cozy and warm indoors. The Downs led Vespers, and we sang together in a circle, creating a beautiful and memorable evening.
