The past few days have been incredibly exciting. We can’t believe how quickly time is flying, and we’re so sad to see our campers leave in less than a week.
On Thursday, we had regular classes, but we also spent a lot of time crafting presents for Christmas Day. In the evening, we all gathered in West Lodge, where the counselors read a story to the campers. Everyone came in their pajamas, wrapped in Crazy Creeks and blankets, while the counselors held candles as they read. It was peaceful and magical.
Friday was Christmas Day, and it was truly special – my first Christmas in July! I had a wonderful time and made unforgettable memories. We listened to Christmas music all day, and people wore amazing red and green outfits to celebrate. We spent the day crafting, and in the evening we exchanged handmade presents in West Lodge. After that, each cabin sang a part of “The Twelve Days of Christmas” – it was so much fun!
Saturday was the musical, and it was absolutely fantastic. Everyone put in so much effort, and the performance turned out amazing. It was recorded and will be uploaded soon so we can all watch it again.
On Sunday, some campers went on a half-day trip while the rest of us stayed at camp for a beach party by the river. We listened to music, chatted, and swam in the river. When it started to pour rain, we moved to West Lodge for ice cream (there was plenty of it!) and board games. Later, since the ground was still wet, we had dinner indoors instead of our usual outdoor setup, which turned out to be just as fun. That evening, everyone got involved in different activities: some played ping-pong, others drew, and some danced to country music. It was such a memorable night!
