Hi everyone!
The 2025 summer season at Camp Mont Shenandoah is almost over, and our Roots & Shoots session has been a wonderful way to end it! It’s been a magical week, filled with love, laughter, and the sweet energy of our campers!
From the start, the girls brought so much joy – whether it was giving a big hug and saying, “I missed you!” to a counselor that back from their day off or simply sharing a big, happy smile.
We were so excited to welcome them on Sunday! We started the week with fun activities to help everyone get to know each other, make new friends, and feel comfortable. We even had a yummy outdoor dinner on Sunday, prepared with care by our amazing kitchen staff!
The week was full of fun! We had our opening campfire where everyone gathered around the fire to sing songs and enjoy the peaceful night. The girls also worked hard on their cabin skits, performing funny and creative shows with their cabinmates. One of the most fun nights was the lip sync: each cabin picked an animal-themed song and put together a performance.
Meals were a happy time, full of delicious food. We saw a lot of growth in the girls this week – from learning to enjoy quiet time during rest hour to showing respect for the camp rules. We watched so many new friendships form as girls hung out, read together, made bracelets, and shared lots of laughs.
It’s been a beautiful week, and we’re so lucky to have spent it with such kind, fun, and caring campers! We hope they take home memories and friendships that last a long, long time.
